4th of July

For the 4th of July this year, I went to San Francisco to visit Jeff. I arrived on Wednesday night and had all day on Thursday by my lonesome. I had a great time! Thursday morning, I walked Jeff to work then walked from his office in the financial district all the way down Embarcadero to Fisherman's Wharf where I went to the Aquarium. Then I puttered around down there before heading back to the financial district. I met up with Jeff and we had lunch at Il Massimo with paninis that were quite tasty. Thursday afternoon, I walked the other way down Market (away from the bay) and I found the shopping area. It was crazy! So many stores! So many pretty stores! I, naturally, had to walk in all of them. When I got to the mall, I leisurely walked around and then I saw that there was a Nordstrom's. This was no ordinary Nordstrom's. It was the top 3 floors of the entire mall and it even had its own elevators that took you directly into the store in case you didn't want to go up the escalators. There was also a Furla store at the mall. Furla is an Italian company that has GORGEOUS purses. I found one on sale and immediately fell in love so much so that I bought the purse. I didn't buy anything after that! I headed back to Jeff's office where he was just getting done with work and we headed back to the condo. We stopped in Chinatown on the way and then headed home because we were both very tired. That night, Jeff and I went to SushiRok for dinner and then went to Belvedere since we were staying at Evy's house. We woke up the next morning and had to pack because we, along with Jeff's parents and Evy, were going on an overnight sail. We ended up sailing to Valejo and spending the night there. The weather was okay, it was slightly overcast and very windy which made for a fast sail. On Saturday morning, we headed back to the San Francisco Yacht Club and made it back relatively quick. Jeff and I went to dinner in Mill Valley at Boardwalk 44 which was very tasty! We then met up with the rest of the gang back at SFYC to sail out to Sausalito (about 10 minutes) to watch fireworks. The fireworks were AMAZING and we were in prime fireworks-watching position. We could see the fireworks in San Francisco and those were neat because they shoot them off from two different places but the fireworks are exactly the same. Sunday we sailed under the Golden Gate bridge then around Angel Island and Alcatraz before I headed back to SLC. I had a great 4th of July and can't wait to go back to San Francisco!

Siamo poi tornati a San Francisco e io e Jeff siamo andati a mangiare furori per cena e poi siamo andati in barca a vedere i fuochi d'artificio.
