San Francisco!

I went to San Francisco this past weekend for Jeff's birthday but also to look at apartments. We must have seen about 15 different apartments. These were all either studios and one bedrooms in Nob Hill, the Marina, and a few in Pacific Heights. While they were all similar, their layouts were all different. One of the first apartments that we saw was two blocks down from Grace Cathedral in Nob Hill. It was on the 2nd floor of 3, in the front of the building. The apartment was cute, there was a lot of light, but there were some weird things about it. The most off thing was that to get to the bathroom once you opened the bathroom door, you had to go up two pretty large steps. Then, once in the bathroom, everything was very close together so it was just small. It also had an old-fashioned tub with the clawed feet which was nice because it was old, but just not practical to shower in every day. Then we saw another apartment still in Nob Hill that was above our price range, but we still went and looked at it. It was amazing! It was in the back of the building, 2nd floor, so not too high, but it had amazing sunlight and all of the windows overlooked the Bay Bridge and the bay. Also, this was a one bedroom, but had a bedroom, living room, dining room, and kitchen, so really it could have been easily a two bedroom. Had it been in our price range, we would have definitely got that one. The apartment we chose, Jeff and I love! It is at the top of Nob Hill on Clay street between Leavenworth and Jones, top floor (4th) in the back of the building. It is a one bedroom so it has a nice sized bedroom, a large living room with bay window, and a large kitchen, and all of the rooms have a ton of natural light. We should hear back from the landlord sometime this week to know whether or not we got the apartment. Once we saw that apartment, we decided to enjoy the rest of the weekend. We drove down Lombard street then walked up it the next day, we went to the Museum of Modern Art which was amazing, and we went and perused at the Container Store and Jeff learned how to make a bow. He did very well! The plan is to rent a U-Haul and then drive it to San Francisco January 2. This is so soon and I can't believe it is really happening! I am so excited to move but sad to be leaving my friends and family. I am very excited to begin this new chapter in my life!

Adesso e quasi Natale e poi saro' a San Francisco!
