Italian Holiday, Part 3
The second week that I was in Italy, I went to the beach. The beach experience in Italy is something that I truly miss here in the US. There, you pay, but you get a beach chair, umbrella, clean bathrooms, showers, etc. It's truly a vacation and you don't have to do anything but show up. My aunt and uncle were kind enough to take my grandmother and I to Rimini, which is on the Adriatic (eastern) coast of Italy. The beaches, in all honesty, are prettier on the other coast, but the people are nicer on this coast. Our hotel was right on the beach and we literally were on the beach all day.
La seconda settimana che ero in Italia sono andata al mare con i zii e la nonna. La vacanza al mare in Italia e' molto diversa da quella negli stati uniti. In Italia c'e' il bagno dove paghi, pero' hai tutto. Sono andata a Rimini che era molto bello. Il mare, devo dire, e' piu' bello da l'altra parte, pero', i Romagnogli sono MOLTO piu' simpatici! Il nostro albergo era sul mare e noi abbiamo passato le giornate sulla spiaggia.
On the way to Rimini, we took a lunch break in the town of Cesenatico to eat a piadina. The town is very cute and is all along the canal. The piadina was heavenly!
Sulla strada per Rimini, ci siamo fermati a Cesenatico per mangiarci una piadina. Il paese e' molto carino e la piadina buonissima!!

We then made it to Rimini where we headed straight to the beach!

On Thursday, it was somewhat cloudy, so we headed to Urbino. We headed to the Palazzo Ducale for a visit. The walk up to the palazzo was very steep, but we managed and the palace was gorgeous!
Giovedi', visto che c'erano un po' di nuvole, siamo andati a Urbino. Siamo andati a visitare il Palazzo Ducale. La caminata su per arrivarci era abbastanza ripida, pero' il palazzo era stupendo!
On our last night in Rimini, my uncle and I went on a bike ride and then to dinner where we met up with my aunt and grandma. The hotel we were at had complimentary aperitvo which we took advantage of first!
L'ultima sera a Rimini, io e lo zio abbiamo fatto un giro in bicicletta e poi siamo andati a cena dove ci siamo trovati con la zia e la nonna. Pero', prima ci siamo fatti un aperitivo in albergo!

On Friday, Novella joined us in Rimini and then we headed to Riccione for the rest of the weekend. We had lots of fun and ate lots of delicious things!
Venerdi', la Novella e' arrivata e poi io e lei siamo andate a Riccione per il resto del weekend. Ci siamo divertite molto e abbiamo mangiato tante cose buone!
The first night, we went to Kalamaro to eat healthy dinner of fried things. Oh my, it was delicious!
La prima sera, siamo andate da Kalamaro per fare una serata di fritto. Mamma mia com'era buono!

My friend Stefania recommended this piadineria for lunch one day which we had to try. It was amazing! Piadinas are so good!
