The timing of the Stay at Home orders in California/San Diego meant that I had time to enjoy my new home.
Quando ci hanno detto che dovevamo stare a casa, a me non e' dispiaciuto molto perche' significava che potevo godere la mia casa nuova.
The first few weeks were extremely rainy - I've never seen so much rain in San Diego! Unfortunately, some of that rain happened inside my house. That meant that for the first five weeks of quarantine, I had plastic barriers and crews in my house repairing the leaking roof/ceiling.
Le prime settimane non ha mai smesso di piovere. Non ho mai visto cosi tanta pioggia a San Diego. Purtroppo che e' piovuto anche dentro. Allora le prime cinque settimane, ho avuto lavori in casa in tanto che mettevano apposto il tetto e il soffitto.

I did use the time to get my balcony ready for the upcoming summer and spring weather. I started by hanging the string lights from Costco to give a little more light to the balcony.
Ho usato il tempo preparando il balcone per l'uso. Ho cominciato con le luci da Costco per aggiungere della luce.
Then the hunt was on for patio furniture. I wanted something that was cozy enough to sit on and lounge, but also be able to have dinner outside. I went with this couch from Wayfair. My favorite feature is that all of the pieces are separate, so I can configure it in multiple ways.
Poi sono andata a la ricerca di un divano. Volevo qualcosa grande abbastanza per due persone dove potevo fare un apperitivo ma anche mangiare.
Il pezzo di mezzo e separato e l'ho messo nell'angolo. Mi metto li nel pomeriggio per prendere il sole.
