August 2025

August was so much fun! I worked for the first week while my mom stayed with Emilia. I then took 6 more weeks of bonding leave, so am home through October 6. This month we went to the zoo, had to get more shots (she did not like the shots, but luckily was fine after), took Emilia on her first plane ride to SLC (she cried just a little right before takeoff and then was great!), pool time, library storytime, visited LA, Andy and I got a couple date nights in, and I met up with a friend that I hadn't seen since high school. 

Ci siamo divertiti molto ad agosto. Io ho lavorato la prima settimana e c'era mia mamma qua con l'Emilia. Poi, sono a casa adesso per 6 settimane, tornando al lavoro il 6 ottobre. Questo mese siamo andati allo zoo, Emilia ha avuto altri vaccini (non le piacciono, pero' non ha avuto niente febbre dopo), siamo andati a Salt Lake per un weekend in aereo (e' stata molto brava!), tanto tempo in piscina, in biblioteca per ascoltare de le storie, io e Andy siamo usciti a cena, siamo andati a Los Angeles, e mi sono trovata con una amica che non vedevo da anni!

Emilia is at the sweetest stage now where she giggles, laughs, so many smiles. She is able to roll from her back to belly and is working belly to back. She will grab for toys and bring them to her mouth. She LOVES splashing in the water at the pool. She is starting to recognize us more and is starting to see Gus and follow him with her eyes. 

Emilia adesso ride sempre. E' una bimba molto felice. Si puo girare da la schiena in pancione, pero' ancora non nel altro verso. Prende i suoi giochi e mette tutto in bocca. Le piace molto andare in piscina e fare splish-splash con l'acqua. Sta cominciando a conoscerci e cera Gus e lo segue.
