January 2026

 January started with a walk along the beach! The month brought many firsts - daycare, fevers, hand/foot/mouth, stomach bugs, but Emilia was a trooper!

Abbiamo cominciato l'anno caminando in spiaggia! Poi c'erano tanti primi - il primo giorno di scuola, la prima febbre, la prima bocca/mani/piedi, pero' l'Emilia e' stata brava ed ha superato tutto!

Emilia started daycare! She started at KinderCare for a few weeks and then we were able to get her in to the daycare at the end of our street. She loves daycare!

Emilia ha cominciato l'asilo! Ha cominciato in uno un po' piu' lontano da casa, pero' ha cambiato e adesso va in quello che c'e' a la fine de la nostra strada. E' molto piu' commodo e' la possiamo andare a prendere a piedi.

Andy and I were able to get away to Santa Barbara for a night while my parents watched Emilia. It was really nice to be able to reconnect and have a mini vactaion.

Io e Andy siamo andati a Santa Barbara una sera in tanto che i miei hanno tenuto l'Emilia. Era bello riuscire ad uscire e avere una mini-vacanza.

December 2025

December! Emilia met Nana and Poppa (Andy's mom and step-dad). Went to Zoo lights with Andy's brother and his family. We celebrated her first Christmas and our first Christmas in our new house with my parents. Had friends over for NYE and were in bed by 10:30p! The perfect end to a wonderful year. 

Dicembre! Emilia ha conosciuto i nonni da la parte di Andy. Siamo andati a vedere le luci a lo zoo con il fratello di Andy. Abbiamo festeggiato natale (il primo per l'Emilia!) ne la nostra casa nuova con i miei genitori. Per capodanno, sono venuti dei nostri amici e eravamo a letto per le 22:30! Un anno proprio perfetto!

Emilia now has two bottom teeth and one top tooth. A second top tooth is trying to pop through! She is FAST at crawling and just started pulling herself up to stand. She loves going to swim lessons, being around other people/kids, and being outside. 

L'Emilia adesso ha due denti sotto, uno in alto, e un'altro che sta cercando di uscire. Gattona VELOCE e si tira su in piedi da sola. Le piace andare a lezione di nuoto, stare attorno a la gente, e essere fuori.

November 2025

 November was so fun! Emilia is at such a fun age and is laughing and interacting all the time. She is crawling everywhere and we have to really keep an eye on her! She loves eating what we are eating and enjoys sitting with us at dinner. I put up our Christmas decorations and they really made our new home feel cozy and perfect.

L'Emilia e ha un'etta perfetta perche' adesso reagisce molto. Le piace mangiare tutto quello che mangiamo noi. Adesso gattona ovunque allora ci dobbiamo stare molto attenti! Io ho messo su l'albero e con tutte le luci, la casa era perfetta.

Andy and I were able to sneak away for a date night in LA while Nonno Nicola stayed with Emilia. We also headed up to LA for Thanksgiving and went to play Mini Golf (I won). 

Io e Andy siamo riusciti ad uscire una sera in tanto che il Nonno Nicola era a casa con l'Emilia. Poi siamo usciti ancora a Thanksgiving in tanto che eravamo a Los Angeles a giocare a mini-golf (ho vinto io).

Emilia met Santa for the first time this month too! She smiled, but then definitely cried as we were about to leave. Such a sweet memory!

L'Emilia ha conosciuto Babbo Natale! Ha fatto un sorriso, ma poi si e' messa a piangere quando stavamo per andare via.
