March 8 - 14, 2010 | La Vita Giulia

This was a wonderful week. Work is going really well and is keeping me busy so that is good. The best part about the week was that my mom was in town for the weekend. It was so great to see her and spend time with her. She was in town for work and then stayed through the weekend and we did so much by the time she left on Sunday, we could barely walk! On Friday, it was raining, and I picked her up and then we went home and then went out to dinner at the Hyde Street Seafood and Raw Bar. It was so tasty! We wanted to go on a walk after dinner but it was so cold and windy that we decided to head home instead.

On Saturday, Jeff had a few chores to do on the boat so he went over to SFYC and my mom and I went shopping! We walked so much! We started at the Farmer's Market at the Ferry Building - we bought a TON of things! Delicious and fresh yogurt, satsumas, cheese, bread, and fruit. With all of that in our bag, we headed down to the Wharf. It was such a beautiful day the walk down to the Wharf was perfect. We walked around there but we were so tired and hungry that we headed to the trolley station and took the cable car home.

After a very tasty lunch we headed out to Union Square to do some major damage while shopping. My mom bought me a few things but bought herself some great things as well! Saturday night, we made dinner at home and it was so much fun cooking with my mom. On Sunday, we went grocery shopping but took a detour to the Marina Green by the water since it was so warm and sunny.

After that, my mom had to leave and it was so sad to see her go. We had a great weekend together and I hope that she can come back to visit soon! For now, my dad is coming to visit in about a month or so and that will be fun as well! Have a great week!

Questa e' stata una settimana perfetta! Il lavoro va molto bene e mi piace allora va bene. La parte piu' bella della settimana era che c'era mi mamma! Ci siamo divertite molto! Venerdi', dopo che abbiamo lasciato delle cose a casa mia, siamo andati a mangiare il pesce. Io ho mangiaot un salmone, Jeff un tipo di pesce (non mi ricordo quale!), e la mamma ha preso il cioppino. Tutto era buonissimo! Dopo cena, volevamo andare a fare una passegiata, pero' c'era molto freddo allora siamo andati a casa al caldo! Sabato, Jeff doveva andare a fare un paio di cose in barca allora io e la mamma siamo andate a fare dei giri da sole. Abbiamo cominciato i nostri giri al Farmer's Market e abbiamo colpito! Ci siamo prese dello yogurt, pane, formaggio (abbiamo trovato la burrata), e mandarini. Dopo abbiamo fatto una passegiata lunghissima fino al Fisherman's Wharf. Abbiamo girato un po', pero' eravamo tutte due stanche allora siamo andati a casa con il trolley. A casa, abbiamo pranzato con dei panini con il prosciutto e Burrata e poi siamo ritornate fuori per fare un po' di shopping! Io non ho colpito molto pero' la mamma si e' presa un paio di cose molto belle. Sabato sera abbiamo fatto da mangiare a casa molto buono! Domenica siamo andati a un parco vicino al ponte perche c'era una giornata perfetta! Siamo andate ancora in giro (anche con Jeff) e poi la mamma e dovuta tornare a Salt Lake. Ci siamo divertite molto questo weekend e spero che torna presto! Il papa' viene in Aprile e sono molto contenta! Buona settimana!
