Not something you expect in the Bay
Last week, in retrospect, went by fast, although last week never seemed to end! For starters, it was incredibly hot in the Bay. Three days of 90+ (F) weather. Definitely not something that is expected in SF, so that made for some really hot days and nights (at 9pm, it was still very hot and I was in shorts and a t-shirt). Jeff and I wanted to beat the heat by going to Swensen's Ice Cream one night (they have some of the best ice cream here) but they were closed and we were not pleased. So then we figured we would go to Ghirardelli square (it seemed logical) and get a sundae there. That was still open and we bought a sundae and devoured it. After eating, we sat by the water and cooled off enough to manage the walk home.
La settimana scorsa, pensandoci, e' passata molto a la svelta anche se' non sembrava che finisse! Per cominciare, c'era caldissimo qua a San Francsico! Propio un caldo che di solito vieni sono a Salt Lake o anche in Italia. Andando fuori alla sera, c'era ancora molto caldo ed io avevo solo braghe corte e una maglietta corta! Io e Jeff volevamo stare al fresco allora abbiamo deciso di andare a prendere un gelato in un posto che ha il gelato molto buono. Pero' erano chiusi (non eravamo molto contenti). Allora siamo andati a Ghirardelli square dove abbiamo preso un gelato enorme e l'abbiamo mangiato molto a la svelta! Dopo che abbiamo finito, siamo andati a sederci vicino all'acqua dove c'era molto piu' fresco prima di tornare a casa.

Tuesday night we went to the Giants vs. Reds game. We bought some great tickets and had wonderful seats! The Giants won (16-5) and we had a really fun time. The stadium is picturesque because it sits on the water facing the Bay and there are just beautiful views from all around. We had a great time at the game and can't wait to go back!
Martedi' sera, siamo andati alla partita di beisbol dei San Francisco Giants. Io avevo preso dei biglietti buoni e i posti erano perfetti! Lo stadio e sull'acqua ed e molto bello quando ci sei per una partita. Per fortuna che hanno vinto (16-5) e io e Jeff ci siamo divertiti molto!

Saturday night, I decided to make some pizza. It turned out well, but not as good as the pizza that my parents make. I am going to Salt Lake in a week and am excited to learn from the pros how to perfect the pizza!
Sabato sera, ho deciso di fare della pizza. E' venuta molto buona, pero' non buona come la fa mio papa' (o mio zio). Vado a casa fra una settimana e sono molto contenta per imparare come si fa' meglio la pizza!
