Fettucine with Lobster, Tomatoes, and Saffron

I had some friends over the other night and tried a new recipe (yes, this is counting as my January new food item) with lobster. Oh man, it was quite delicious! Despite the preparation bit where I had to cut lobster tail and all that, it turned out so good!
Ho avuto degli amici a cena l'altra sera e ho fatto una ricetta nuova che era una pasta con le arragoste. Era molto buona! Anche se a farla, ho dovuto pulire un'arragosta che non mi sono divertita molto, pero' era molto buona.

Ingredients:
Lobster meat (I used lobster tail)/Carne d'arragosta
Salt/Sale
Olive Oil/Oglio
Red onion/Cipolla rossa
2 ribs celery, diced/Sedano
2 potatoes, diced/patate
4 cloves garlic thinly sliced/Aglio
1/2 pound overripe tomatoes, diced (saving juices)/Pomodori, devi tenere il sugo
1/4 cup dry white wine/Vino Bianco
Pinch of saffron/zafferano (io ho usato una bustina intera)
Fettucine

Directions:
- Cut lobster meat into 1/4-inch pieces. I used the scissors to do this.
Tagliare l'arragosta a pezzetti. Io ho usato le forbici.
- Boil water for pasta.
Fare bollire l'acqua per la pasta
- Heat the oil until smoking (need a large enough pan to then mix together all the pasta). Add onion, celery, potatoes, and garlic and saute until golden brown.
Fare scaldare l'oglio fino che non fuma (serve una pentola grande abastanza per poi condire la pasta). Aggiungere la cipolla, sedano, patate, e aglio e fare andare un po'.
- Add the tomatoes, wine, and saffron (I mixed the saffron with the wine before adding) and bring to a boil, then simmer.
Aggiungere i pomodori, vino, e zafferano (io ho sciolto lo zafferano nel vino perima di aggiungere) e fare bollire, poi abassare.
- Add one ladle of pasta water to pan and stir/let simmer.
Aggiungere un cucchiaio di acqua dalla pasta alla padelle e mescolare.
- Cook the pasta until just al dente and strain. Add to pan and stir together. Serve warm.
Fare cuocere la pasta fino che non sia al dente. Scolare e aggiungere alla padella e mescolare. Servire caldo.

This was the next day, heating up the few leftovers on the stove. 

It does meet one of my monthly resolutions to try something new. I don't think I have ever had lobster and/or cooked it. Yay!
