Flower Fields

On Sunday, I drove up the 5 to the Carlsbad Flower Fields. Oh. My. Real quick negative - parking was crazy and it is overpriced, but worth it at least once. I had seen pictures of these flower fields and have driven by them, but never really looked at them. Saturday, at the market, I happened to purchase some ranunculas to bring to a dinner I was going to. I had no idea that's what grew up in Carlsbad!

I walked in, and sucker I am, took the tractor ride. Not worth it, unless you have kids, because you can walk everywhere! Anywho, took the tractor up, and then got off at the top so I could meander through the flowers. It was truly spectacular being in the middle of all those flowers! What a sight!

Hundreds upon hundreds of ranunculus!
Migliaia e migliaia di ranunculi! Proprio meraviglioso!

There was also an orchid house that had some truly beautiful orchids!

It was definitely worth the trip to take all the pictures I took - the flowers are truly amazing!
