Lanikai

Spring Break this year was pretty amazing. Not only did I get to see my brother and spend time with him both in San Diego and in Disneyland, I also went to Hawaii with Christina and her family. We stayed in a house in Lanikai, which is on the Eastern Shore of Oahu. The view from our house was stunning - we looked right at the Mokes - Mokolua (the small island on the right that is a bird sacnctuary) and Mokoiki (the larger island on the left).

It was raining the first day we arrived, but the view was still pretty amazing.

That water!

Snorkeling!

One afternoon, Christina and I took the kayak and kayaked out to Mokoiki. It was a great kayak trip and then the view from the island was just gorgeous. While kayaking, we saw sea turtles and then there was a harbor seal on the beach.

One of our last days there, we went and hiked the Makapu'u Lighthouse. The trail is nice and paved,  we had a great time and the views were pretty great.
