August was full of friends, food, and fun! We hosted our monthly Dinner Club and made cicchetti (little appetizers) with tomato/mozzarella, apple butter and cinnamon, and tinned octopus. Our main course was pizza in the Ooni and then for dessert, pesche! The pesche are something my nonna used to make and I wanted to try my hand at them. They were so delicious!

Agosto era pieno di amici, mangiare, e divertimento! Era il nostro turno per ospitare i nostri amici e abbiamo fatto una cena Italiana. Per cominciare, dei cicchetti con pomodori/mozzarella, burro di mele e cannella, e polpo sotto olio. Abbiamo fatto la pizza nel forno che abbiamo per la pizza. Per dolce, ho fatto le pesche con la ricetta de la Nonna Franca. Sono venute buonissime e sono piaciute a tutti!

Brian and Rich came into town! It was so fun spending time with them!

We went car beach camping at San Elijo Beach for one night. I had never been beach camping and it was lovely! Our spot overlooked the ocean, so we slept with the sounds of the waves lulling us to sleep.

Siamo andati in campeggio su la spiaggia per una sera. Io non l'avevo mai fatto e ci siamo divertiti molto. Il nostro posto aveva vista sul mare ed era molto rilassante dormire sentendo le onde.
