Per le vacanze a marzo, sono andata a Santa Barbara con Andy. Lui non c'era mai stato e ci volevamo andare in treno. I treni in America sono molto piu' lenti di quelli in Italia! Anche se ci fosse stato del traffico, andando in macchina sarebbe stato piu' veloce. Pero' il giro in treno e' bello perche' noi siamo saliti a San Diego e poi scesi a Santa Barbara.

We stayed at the Best Western Beachside Inn and I was very pleased with it. It included breakfast and we had a room with a balcony overlooking the water. The location was also perfect because we were close to everything without being right in the middle of it.
Siamo stati in un albergo con una camera bella e vista mare. Come posizione era molto buona perche' eravamo vicino a tutto senza essere nel mezzo del casino.
We had heard that one thing to do was to go to the top of the courthouse for a 360 degree view of the city. We lucked out with weather and there was indeed an amazing view.
Ci avevano detto che se vai in alto al municipio, ci sarebbe stato una vista molto bella. In fatti, avevano ragione!

We had heard good things about the Inspiration Point hike, so headed up there one morning. It was a relatively easy hike and at the top, you have sweeping views of the city (on a clear day).
Ci eravamo informati di una camminata da fare. Non era molto difficile, e quando arrivi in alto, la vista e' molto bella.
One day we decided to rent a car and drive up to Solvang. I had never been and had been itching to go and see the Dutch town. The drive was so pretty and reminded me of Ireland because of all the green.
Un giorno abbiamo noleggiato una macchina e siamo andati a vedere un paese vicino che si chiama Solvang. E' un paese danese che avevo sentirne parlare bene. Il giro in macchina era molto bello perche' c'era molto verde ovunque.
