Sea World Teacher Appreciation Day

A few weekends ago, Sea World kindly gave teachers an Open House to see their various programs and have a fun day at the park. Naturally, I took advantage of this and headed over to Mission Bay.
Un paio di settimane fa, Sea World ha fatto un giorno nel loro parco per le maestre. Io ci sono andata ed e stata una giornata molto bella.

We headed straight to the polar bears and spent a good thirty minutes watching them because they were so active. They are also my favorite, so any excuse to see them works in my book.

Siamo andate direttamente ai orsi polari e eravamo li per almeno mezz'ora perche' erano fuori. Sono anche i miei preferiti, allora a me piace vederli.

Lastly, we headed to see the Shamu show that they do for school groups.
Finalmente, siamo andate a vedere lo show della balena che fanno quando vieni con la scuola. E' interessante, pero' mi piaceva di piu' quando erano ne l'acqua.

The One Where the Brother Visits

Qualcuno, ha capito da dove ho preso il titolo del post? ;-)

My brother and his girlfriend Marta came to visit me in San Diego. This was their first time ever in San Diego.
Simone e la Marta sono venuti a trovarmi a San Diego. Era la loro prima volta visitando San Diego.

We started their visit with dinner at Buona along with Harry and Ian. They are leaving and moving to DC which is super great for them, but not so great for the whole Giulia has friends in SD. Luckily for them, I LOVE DC, so I plan on visiting! :-)
Abbiamo cominciato con cena da Buona con i miei amici Harry ed Ian. Loro stanno per trasferirsi a Washington DC che e' molto bello per loro pero' non molo buono per me perche' dovro' trovare altri amici. Meno male che Washington DC mi piace un sacco allora li andro' a trovare di sicuro!

Saturday was a beautiful day here in SoCal so we headed up north to La Jolla. We walked around and in the cove and took some darling pictures.
Sabato era una giornata stupenda a San Diego allora siamo andati su a La Jolla. Abbiamo caminato nel'acqua e abbiamo fatto delle bellisime foto.

Saturday night we cooked an amazing dinner at home.
Sabato sera ci siamo fatti una cena buonissima a casa.

Then, on Sunday, we headed first to the Zoo which did not disappoint. Then, to Sea World. I didn't take too many pictures because I have the exact same pictures from previous trips there. We still managed to have a ton of fun! Then, Marta made us an extremely delicious risotto ai carciofi. YUM!
Domenica abbiamo cominciato la giornata allo Zoo che era molto bello. Poi, siamo andati a Sea World. Non ho fatto tante foto a Sea World perche' ho gia tantissime foto della stessa cosa. Poi, la Marta ci ha fatto un risotto ai carciofi per cena. YUM!

Sea World!

During this time of year, Sea World has this amazing offer where if you go and pay for a day ticket, you get a pass for a year. Naturally, it was worth it for me to go and not only get that ticket, but upgrade to include free parking ($20 parking each time, no thank you!). In my spare time, I have been spending it at Sea World looking at the pretty animals and shows but also people watching. So fun.
In questa stagione, Sea World fa una offerte dove se compri un biglietto per un giorno, ti danno l'abbonamento per l'anno. Io l'ho comprato e poi ho preso l'upgrade che mi dava anche il parcheggio (se no, bisogna pagare $20 ogni volta che ci vai, in tre volte, hai pagato la diferenza). Quando ho tempo adesso, passo il tempo a Sea World a vedere l'animali, i show, ed anche a guardare la gente che passa. Mi piace un sacco!
