February was busy!

Febbraio era pieno di impegni!

Baby shower time! My friend Christina hosted and it was the most beautiful day and celebration. We felt so loved and felt the love for baby girl!

Ho avuto la mia baby shower a casa de la mia amica Christina. Era una giornata bellissima e ci siamo emozionati a vedere tutti che sono venuti a festeggiare la piccola.

July 2023

We hung around San Diego in July getting ready for work to start up again.

A satellite was launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base and we were able to see it from our balcony.

C'era un satellite che e' stato lanciato da una base vicino a San Diego. Potevamo vederlo dal balcone.

April/May 2022

April and May were busy months. Work was crazy because testing season was here and we always seemed to be running around. Here are some highlights.

Aprile e maggio erano impegnativi. Lavoro era pesante perche' avevamo gli esami di fine anno. Sembrava che eravamo sempre di corsa.

We were kickball CHAMPS!

We went to see the Immersive Van Gogh Experience which was pretty neat. It tells you about Van Gogh's life and the final room has a ton of projectors that show his art - it was cool.

Siamo andati a vedere una mostra di Van Gogh dove fanno muovere le opere d'arte. La prima parte ti raccontava de la vita di Van Gogh e l'ultima sala aveva dei proiettori dove fa vedere le opere piu' notevoli. Era bello e diverso.

Bougainvillea

This was a pretty cool highlight. The teachers at my school site voted my Teacher of the Year. I was recognized by the Board of Education and then my principal presented me with this apple. 

Sono stata votata Maestra dell'anno ne la mia scuola. Mi hanno presentato con un certificato e poi la mia preside mi ha preso questa mela di vetro con un'iscrizone.

San Diego, Work

Back to School 2020

School started for the 2020-2021 school year at the end of August. I am currently teaching from home and there isn't a set date for when we would go back in person (case rates in our district are still high). Working and teaching remotely has been an adjustment, but it is nice to be home and know that I am safe and helping to keep others safe. 

La scuola ha cominciato a la fine di Agosto e per adesso lavoro da casa. Non si sa ancora quando si potra' tornare in persona. Lavorando da casa e' decisamente diverso, pero' godo stare a casa. 

I've got a full set up with 3 monitors. I never knew how much I needed/wanted more than one monitor, but I won't ever go back! Luckily, I have a second bedroom that I am using as my office and it is working perfectly. The picture is a little dark, but it's usually nice and bright when I teach.

Ho tre monitor. Non sapevo quanto avrei goduto avere piu' di uno schermo! Visto che ho una seconda camera, la uso come ufficio e funziona molto bene. C'e' molta luce durante il giorno allora ci sto volentieri.

A brand new school year

One of the reasons that Simone and I were so busy while he was here was because I got a new job! I got a job in a public school teaching first grade. It is SUCH a change from fourth, but I'm having so much fun! Simone was the best and packed up my entire old classroom and moved everything into my house/bedroom. A week later, my neighbor helped move all of my boxes into my new classroom. It's been a whirlwind, but I'm so excited for this new opportunity! My class is giant and not everything is set up quite yet, but it's definitely getting there! Here are some pictures!
Uno dei motivi che io e Simone eravamo cosi impegnati era perche' ho cambiato scuole. Mi hanno offerto un lavoro in una scuola pubblica' molto buona e l'ho preso. Adesso avro' una classe di prima che e' molto diversa dalla quarta pero' sono molto contenta. Simone mi ha' impacchettato tutta la classe vecchia e portato tutto a casa. Poi, il mio vicino mi ha portato tutto nella classe nuova. Non e' ancora messa aposto del tutto, pero' va bene per adesso!

I love how it turned out! My classroom feels very warm and inviting and I love teaching in it!

Sono molto contenta con la mia classe! Mi piace venire a scuola e insegnare tutti giorni!
